Presentazione del progetto:

This project explores how our place of birth dictates our freedom to imagine. Through a visual contrast, we highlight the deep gap between two different meanings of “the future.”
In wealthy societies, dreaming is a form of self-expression. Young people look toward professional success, fame, or creative careers-goals that are seen as achievable milestones.
Here, the future is a wide-open space for personal ambition.
In contrast, for students in Syria, dreaming is an act of survival. Their aspirations are tied to basic dignity: helping a mother with expenses or gaining the simple right to walk outside freely.
In this context, dreams aren’t about “becoming someone,” but about restoring what has been lost to war and restriction.
Ultimately, this work reminds us that for many, the greatest challenge isn’t achieving a dream, but having the privilege to have one in the first place.
